Our Concept
In order for you to understand the scope of the project, you must think Big, Disney-like and a year-round attraction that will be the DESTINATION for families, not just a place to visit if you happen to be in the area. We need to bring the visitors here to experience this one-of-a-kind attraction. To stay two or three days and visit other attractions in the region. To stimulate our economy with their tourist dollars and the jobs the Musarium will create.
Imagine
There will be animation, robotics, computer graphics and holograms - appealing to all ages.
An express ride to the top floor in a glass-enclosed time capsule/elevator propelling you through time. The years are racing backwards on the elevator calendar.
Upon exiting the elevator we are in a vast ice blue glacier. The temperature is noticeably cooler as we wander through "the Ice Age" exhibits. Computer graphics and holograms give the sense of actually being there and how the glacier life cycle affected our region.
Moving forward through time, the river becomes the ever-flowing center of the Musarium. We will cross over, under and around the river through different stages of our history. Imagine walking and looking up and seeing the river flowing over your head.
As we wend our way downward we will experience the original inhabitants of the area, the arrival of the white man, the flora and fauna of the changing terrain. We will see indigenous river life through glass walls. Fish, frogs, turtles and all species of aquatic life.
As we cross back and forth over the river, we will be visited by holograms of trains, oil wells, and the Gilded Age.
Imagine for moment a distant train whistle. Suddenly you look up and there it is, bursting from a tunnel a few yards ahead of you, its whistle screaming, the ground trembling with the power of steel against steel, the smell of sulfur from the coal fired steam engine in the air, the taste of steam on your tongue. You will have just experienced a hologram; one of many high-tech exhibits you will see as you walk through the Musarium.
The conclusion of the journey will bring the visitors to the present. But the Musarium doesn't stop there. Other attractions will include:
An atrium
A discovery center
An active archeological dig
An aviary
A theater (possibly an IMAX)
A restaurant
A river walk
An RV park
